Celebrating 26 Years with GTech Bellmor
"My passion for engineering continues at home. I enjoy working on projects using my own lathe and milling machine, and spending time restoring old machinery and motorbikes."
Andrew Taylor's 26-year journey at GTech Bellmor is a testament to loyalty, craftsmanship, and consistency. After completing his apprenticeship with Kevin Bell and Todd Jacobs, he ran into Kevin at Vital pet foods and was later offered a job. Since then, he has remained in the Manual Shop, working on many of the same machines where he began his career.
Over the years, Andrew has witnessed significant growth across the business, including the addition of new buildings and CNC machinery. Despite these changes, his passion for hands-on manufacturing remains strong, and he continues to enjoy the satisfaction of making things every day.
One of Andrew's most memorable experiences with GTech Bellmor was a Christmas trip to Hokitika, where he recalls helping keep a colleague, known as “Bigboy,” out of trouble. He values the company's convenient location and good working hours, and after more than two decades with GTech Bellmor, he credits staying motivated to simple habit and commitment.
Outside of work, Andrew's passion for engineering continues at home. He enjoys working on projects using his own lathe and milling machine and spends much of his spare time restoring old machinery and motorbikes. Family is also important to him. He and his wife will celebrate 30 years of marriage in 2027, and together they have raised two daughters and two foster children.
Andrew's story reflects the dedication, practical skills, and steady commitment that have helped shape GTech Bellmor over the past quarter century. Congratulations to Andrew on 26 years of service, and thank you for your continued commitment, knowledge and contribution to GTech Bellmor.
