Celebrating 24 Years with GTech Bellmor

Dean Arps has been a valued part of the GTech Bellmor team for 24 years, joining the company in 2002 through friends who were already working there. Over the years, he has built a diverse career within the business, starting with surface grinding hole plates before moving into repairing grinders and conveyors. Today, Dean plays a key role in building new machines for international customers, including projects such as the Echo 3, 4 and 7 machines.

Throughout his time at GTech Bellmor, Dean has witnessed significant growth, including the establishment of branches in Australia and the United States, as well as ongoing expansions at the Christchurch site. While he is proud of the many projects he has contributed to, Dean says his greatest achievement is being part of a team that consistently delivers high quality machinery to both local and international markets.

One of Dean's most memorable experiences at GTech Bellmor was a plane trip to the West Coast in 2003, an adventure he still remembers fondly. What he enjoys most about his role is producing quality work for customers around the world, and he remains motivated by the opportunity to provide for his family through both good times and challenging periods.

For Dean, the people are one of the best parts of working at GTech Bellmor. He values the friendships formed with colleagues and takes pride in the high standard of work the team produces every day. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and catching up with mates whenever he can.

A passionate cricket supporter, Dean is heavily involved with the Kaiapoi Cricket Club as Club President, serves as a Canterbury Country Cricket Board Member, and works as a Canterbury Country Cricket Umpire. He also enjoys making bar leaners as a side business.

Family is at the heart of Dean's life. He has been married to his wife Michelle for more than 24 years, and together they have a daughter, Danielle, who recently turned 20.
