Hans Broekhuizen has been part of GTech Bellmor since 31 March 1998, contributing an impressive 28 and a half years of service to the company. After joining through a friend who worked at GTech Bellmor, Hans began his career as a welder before moving into a supervisory role in the welding department and progressing to his current position as Workshop Supervisor.

Over nearly three decades, Hans has seen GTech Bellmor grow and diversify significantly. He has watched the workshop expand, CNC machinery and capabilities increase, and the company evolve from a primary focus on manufacturing separators for the meat industry into additional work across the oil and gas and environmental sectors. One project that stands out for him is the manufacture of the expansion joint for the Waipouri Power Station, a challenging job that gave him a strong sense of pride in contributing to a successful finished product.

For Hans, the most memorable part of his time at GTech Bellmor has been the strong team culture, especially in the company's earlier years, when there was a clear work-hard, play-hard mentality and a genuine family feel. He values the people he works with, the opportunity to share his skills and knowledge with others, and the satisfaction of helping the team deliver quality work for customers. Seeing satisfied customers and contributing to GTech Bellmor's continued growth remain important sources of motivation for him.

Outside work, Hans enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his two sons in rugby, attending Canterbury rugby games, walking, socialising with friends, hunting, fishing, and making the most of the outdoors. Married to his wife for 26 years and father to two adult sons, Hans brings the same commitment, loyalty, and practical knowledge to his life outside work that he has demonstrated throughout his long career at GTech Bellmor.
